Position

We are looking for a (Senior) Manager Charitable Tax Compliance (m/f/x) to support our team in Potsdam. In this role, you will oversee the charitable tax law (GemeinnĂĽtzigkeitsrecht) topics of the foundation, its affiliates, and charitable projects. You will liaise with our charitable affiliates and project partners worldwide to ensure a diligent and compliant charitable tax law controlling. You will take care of the tax return preparation process with the help of external advisors and further develop the foundation’s tax compliance system. You are in close contact with other departments on charitable tax law-related topics. Suitable candidates are self-starters who feel comfortable in a dynamic team, can familiarize themselves quickly with new topics, and understand how to set priorities.

Your main tasks

  • Ensure (charitable) tax law compliance of the foundation and its charitable projects, especially through involvement in the preparation of tax returns and ancillary statements typical for a charitable organization (i.e. capital preservation, timely funds, etc.)
  • Consulting on charitable tax law questions arising from the foundation’s operational business, in particular with regard to the structuring of internal and external projects
  • Further develop a charitable tax law compliance framework for the foundation and its affiliates in Germany and the United States

Your Experience & Qualifications

  • Very good academic degree in business administration or similar subject
  • German tax advisor certificate
  • 2-4 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in the field of charitable tax law with a recognized company
  • Excellent rhetoric and writing skills and fluency in English and German
  • Mastery of MS Office especially Excel and PowerPoint
